 I began an "old-fashioned" private psychiatric practice, specializing in psychotherapy and focusing on the needs of my patients rather than on those of their insurance companies. Of course, I use modern psychiatric drugs where appropriate; they provide much needed relief from depression, anxiety and other serious symptoms.
