Alexandra S. Roak, PhD

She specializes in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology for children and teens with digestive disorders, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI). Her desire to help children and teens manage chronic pain and other symptoms drew her to study GI psychology, the brain-gut connection and psychological interventions. DuPont Hospital for Children and received her doctorate at The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
