Island Institute for Trauma Recovery, LLC Our Mission Island Institute for Trauma Recovery, LLC is a small group practice created around a shared philosophy for working with complex trauma. Our belief is that the mind-body connection is integral in healing from traumatic stress. We practice from a mutual understanding of neuroscience and of the interweaving of mind and body.
