We offer prayer, and acknowledge God’s Spirit as “The Ultimate Counselor”, working through us in providing the wisdom that changes hearts and renews minds. Often God’s sovereignty and desire for our growth is involved in allowing pain and suffering in our lives, and should be addressed. Counseling is more productive if a person of faith perceives that they and the therapist have similar personal values, and they feel that their beliefs will be valued.
