Therapist (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC) in Private Practice

OVERVIEW

• Seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time therapist to join our growing, collaborative group practice. Full-time status is defined as 25–32 client sessions per week. We value ethical care, clinical support, and creating a sustainable work environment for therapists.
• This role involves working with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, individuals with perinatal mental health needs, and couples, based on the clinician's interest and experience. Some weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday) is required.

ABOUT OUR PRIVATE PRACTICE

• Current Team: 10 clinicians and 1 administrative staff member
• Ownership: Woman-owned small business
• Office Space: 4 shared offices within the building; clinicians are expected to respect communal areas (waiting room, coffee station, etc.)
• Building: Bathroom located just down the hall and shared with other businesses in the three-story building
• Growth: We are planning to expand and add additional office space in 2026!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide individual (and/or couples/family) psychotherapy to a diverse client population
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the SimplePractice portal
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and ethical/legal standards
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision and monthly group supervision meetings

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active NYS license or permit: LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC
• New graduates are encouraged to apply
• Prior outpatient or clinical experience preferred
• Experience with children, adolescents, perinatal mental health, or couples is a plus
• Strong communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
