Job Description
We are seeking a qualified and empathetic Counselor/Therapist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Counselor/Therapist at Autumn Leaves, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our clients by providing therapeutic support and guidance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual client needs.
- Provide evidence-based therapy and counseling services to individuals, couples, or families.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and support staff, to coordinate care and provide holistic support.
- Stay current with developments in the field of mental health and participate in ongoing professional development activities.
- Foster a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment for clients.
- Offer crisis intervention when necessary, including assessing and managing clients' safety.
- Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to enhance clinical skills and share insights with colleagues.
- Uphold ethical and professional standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
- Appropriate state licensure or certification as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
- Previous experience in providing therapy or counseling services is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about the latest mental health research and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Understanding and adherence to ethical guidelines and legal regulations in the field of mental health.
- Cultural sensitivity and a commitment to providing inclusive and equitable care.
