Staff Therapist - Group Practice - LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT

Our practice is actively seeking a full-time staff therapist to join our team ASAP. We are looking for an experienced clinician who is ready to make a meaningful, long-term investment in their clinical work and in a collaborative private practice. This is a good fit for someone with a strong sense of their clinical identity who values thoughtful consultation, professional autonomy, and being part of a collegial team. The therapist must be willing to see clients in-person until 9PM Monday through Thursday and daytime on Fridays to meet our current demand.

Groundwork Therapy was founded in 2018 and serves teens and adults living and working in Central Brooklyn. We are a team of licensed psychologists, postdoctoral psychologists, LMSWs, and LCSWs. We provide depth-oriented, long-term psychotherapy. Our client population consists largely of individuals in their 30's and 40's including couples, parents, university students, and professionals in tech, performing arts, legal, education, and creative fields. We have specialized areas of practice in premarital counseling, group therapy, and ADHD/autism assessment. Additionally, we specialize in gender and sexual diversity. Duties:

• Hold 20 to 25 45-minute therapy sessions a week (individual and/or couples)
• Attend weekly case conference with staff
• Attend weekly individual supervision

The best fit for this position is a therapist who:

• Works from a contemporary psychodynamic, relational/interpersonal orientation
• Uses a sexuality and gender affirmative therapy approach
• Has experience and/or interest in working with clients who are members of the LGBTQI+ communities
• Is flexible in practice, adept at meeting each client according to their individual needs and capabilities
• Has experience and/or interest in couples/relationship therapy
• Prefers working in afternoons and evenings

Requirements:

• Degree and licensed to practice in NY state
• Psychodynamic relational/interpersonal orientation (integrative in interventions)
• Availability Monday through Thursday until 9PM and daytime on Fridays
• Must work in-person Monday through Friday

Pay & Benefits:

• This is an employment (W-2) position paid according to clinical services rendered
• LMSW pay starts at $65 per clinical hour.
• LMSW may have the opportunity to transition to a staff position once licensed
• LCSW/LMFT/LMHC pay starts at $100 per clinical hour
