The Opportunity

As a Mental Health Therapist with Tranquil Awakenings Counseling Center, you will provide high-quality, compassionate behavioral health services to a diverse population of clients.

Your Role May Include

• Providing individual, couples, family, or other clinically appropriate therapy services
• Completing clinical assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
• Providing evidence-informed therapeutic interventions
• Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment approaches as appropriate
• Providing crisis intervention and appropriate clinical support when needed
• Coordinating care and making referrals when clinically appropriate
• Maintaining ethical, professional, and regulatory standards
• Developing meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients
• Collaborating with other professionals when appropriate

We are particularly interested in clinicians who currently maintain an established caseload of approximately 15–20 clients.

Applicants should have a realistic plan for maintaining an appropriate caseload upon joining our practice. An established caseload is strongly preferred because this position is designed for clinicians who are prepared to actively maintain and grow their clinical practice.

Any transition of existing clients must be handled in a manner consistent with applicable ethical standards, contractual obligations, client choice, and professional requirements.

Clinicians are expected to take ownership of maintaining an appropriate and sustainable caseload while utilizing the referral and marketing support available through Tranquil Awakenings Counseling Center.

Position Requirements

To be considered, applicants must:

• Be a Michigan resident and licensed to practice in the State of Michigan.
• Have a minimum of two years of professional experience.
• Possess a master's degree or higher in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Hold a current Michigan license or qualifying limited license, including one of the following:

TLLP — Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist

LLP/MLP — Limited Licensed Psychologist

LLMSW/LMSW — Licensed Master Social Worker

LCSW — Licensed Clinical Social Worker

LLPC/LPC — Licensed Professional Counselor

LMFT — Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

LP — Licensed Psychologist

• Demonstrate knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment modalities, assessment, and treatment planning.
• Possess strong clinical assessment, crisis intervention, and case management skills.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement effective, individualized treatment plans.
• Be comfortable working with diverse populations and a broad range of presenting concerns.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a professional team.
• Have a computer and reliable, high-speed internet connection for telehealth services.
• For remote clinicians, maintain a private, quiet, professional environment suitable for confidential clinical services.
• Maintain professional liability/malpractice insurance.
• Have an established caseload of approximately 15–20 clients or a realistic plan for maintaining an appropriate caseload upon joining the practice.

Important 1099 Information

This is a 1099 independent contractor position, not a W-2 employee position. Clinicians are responsible for their own applicable taxes, professional liability insurance, professional expenses, and other obligations associated with independent-contractor status.
