Remote Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary

The Anchorage Behavioral Health Alliance is a group practice of 25 clinicians working via telehealth and/or in person at one of 5 locations around the South Shore. With roots in the pastoral counseling movement, our practice values using spiritually integrated approaches to therapy to supplement academic perspectives. We are a member of the Solihten Institute, a network of pastoral counseling centers nationwide, which provides our clinicians with continuing education and workshops in spiritually integrated psychotherapy.

We seek a licensed clinician who is willing to provide telehealth services based on client preference with a minimum caseload of 8 visits per week. If the clinician desires, we maintain five in person office spaces on the South Shore.

You will have complete flexibility in scheduling and choosing your clients. You may select patients from our intake list, will be supported in setting up a Psychology Today profile and be connected to EAPs for referrals.

In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals facing mental health challenges in our community. You will work closely with patients, offering guidance and encouragement while implementing treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. Your contributions will be vital in fostering a safe and therapeutic environment for those in need.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide behavior management support to help patients cope with their conditions.
• Facilitate therapeutic activities as appropriate
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and progress notes as required.
• Attend remote monthly staff meeting and enrichment opportunities as scheduling permits.
• Professional-level attention to email, log submission and other related tasks.

Experience

• Previous experience working in a mental health setting required.
• PhD, PsyD, LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT license required.
• Experience providing clinicial supervision preferred.
• Participation with a faith community, or practicing individual spirituality, and seeing this work as part of sharing your gifts with a hurting world is preferred.
