Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Diversified Therapy is a Black, women-owned practice specializing in working with the BIPOC population. Diversified Therapy is looking to expand its practice!

Clinicians are responsible for building and maintaining their own caseload through networking, outreach, and other approved marketing efforts. The practice may provide referrals when available, but does not guarantee a specific number of clients or sessions. This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable actively promoting their services and generating their own referrals.

Currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Associate Marriage and Family Therapist to join Diversified Therapy’s growing private practice. We serve a diverse population of clients and welcome therapists who are racial/social justice-orientated. As an AMFT, you will be responsible for providing counseling, marketing, and attending supervision meetings. AMFT must be registered in California.

Responsibilities

• Candidates must be LGBTQ-affirming and social justice-informed. Individuals identifying as BIPOC and/or LGBTQ+ are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Candidates must have a desire to grow clinically as well as participate in the overall growth of the practice.
• Able to conduct confidential telehealth sessions remotely with the proper technology
• Able to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with warmth and directness
• Private practice-minded (independent worker, dependable, organized, good time management skills)
• Maintain accurate client records and progress notes
• Respond to all queries and provide consultation calls with prospective clients
• Do weekly marketing
• Attend supervision meetings and collaborate with licensed therapists
• Adhere to ethical and legal guidelines for counseling practice

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Social Work
• Current associate registration with the BBS and in good standing
• Minimum of 1,500 hours of supervised clinical experience
• Strong emphasis on strong social justice-oriented
• Experience in working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+ population
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Need to have experience in networking/marketing
• Knowledge of EBT practices

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
