Psychotherapist, Private Practice

Piven & Smith PLLC is a multi-disciplinary group mental health practice located in the Chicago Loop that has been serving the Chicago community since 2010. We currently offer individual therapy, couples, relationship therapy, group therapy.

The Psychotherapist, Private Practice position has currently 1-2 openings at our practice. We have openings for clinicians to provide some or all of the following:

Individual therapy, couples/relationship therapy. No clinician will be required to practice outside of their interest or expertise. Learning opportunities are available to develop new skill.

We currently offer virtual telehealth services. Clinicians who are open to telehealth will be considered for the position. You can choose to be all virtual, all in person or have a hybrid schedule.

This position can be as an Independent Contractor or W2 employee. Compensation is dependent on experience with a pay range between $50,000 - $100,000 a year. There is a 10% pay increase annually. Clinicians are reimbursed per clinical/billable hour for their work. Each open position will have the availability of 15 – 25 clinical/billable hours a week with some nights. No weekends required.

Open positions do allow for flexibility in schedule, but a flexibility that requires consistency. Once a schedule is agreed upon, each clinician has their own office hours to routinely meet with clients.

P&S does not ask their clinicians to market themselves or complete billing. Our office has an inhouse billing and benefits coordinator that verifies insurance, completes insurance billing and follow up with clients as needed.

Qualified candidates:

• Licensed as a LCSW, LCPC, or Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois
• LSW, LPC – (Supervision will be provided)
• Have an ability to work independently while also working collaboratively on a team
• Demonstrate a desire to grow in their field of discipline and to continue to expand their therapeutic knowledge
• Navigate basic technology such as a digital calendar, electronic notes/paperwork and email
• Be thorough in communication and follow up with staff and clients

It is PREFERRED that qualified candidates:

• Have experience working in a private practice setting – it is not required to be credentialed with commercial insurance plans.

Compensation

The position will be compensated on clinical hours. Clinicians will be allotted regular days and times to provide therapy.

Contractual pay is per billable hour. The hourly rate is competitive with area providers.

We have multiple contractual positions at the practice. Available positions will allow for 15-20 clinical hours a week. All positions will require some evening hours.
