Psychotherapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic services to clients, utilizing a variety of techniques and approaches tailored to individual needs. This role requires a strong understanding of mental health issues, behavior management, and the ability to conduct diagnostic evaluations. The Psychotherapist will work in a clinical setting, focusing on enhancing the emotional well-being of clients through evidence-based practices.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for clients with diverse backgrounds and needs.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess mental health conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with clinic policies.
• Address gender issues counseling as part of a holistic approach to therapy.
• Utilize creative therapeutic methods such as dance therapy when beneficial for client engagement.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
• Stay informed about current best practices in psychotherapy and mental health treatment.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential in the state of practice.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-9 coding for diagnostic purposes.
• Experience in clinic settings preferred, with familiarity in behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Understanding of gender issues and their impact on mental health is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
