Psychotherapist (LMSW LMFT) – Clinical Supervision and Growth Staten Island
Mindful Therapy Solutions LCSW PLLC
About the role
Your license opened the door.
The right supervision will shape the therapist you become!
Mindful Therapy Solutions LCSW PLLC is an established Staten Island psychotherapy practice seeking thoughtful, dependable LMSW and LMFT clinicians who want to strengthen their clinical skills while providing meaningful care to children, adolescents, adults, and families.
We are a teaching-oriented practice where supervision is an active part of clinical development—not simply a requirement to complete. Our standards are high, but so is our investment in helping clinicians become more confident, effective, and clinically grounded.
About the Position
Our current client needs include a significant number of boys, adolescent males, adult men, and families. We are especially interested in clinicians who are comfortable engaging male clients across developmental stages and addressing concerns such as:
- Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
- Trauma and difficult life experiences
- Identity development and self-esteem
- Behavioral and relational concerns
- Family conflict and parenting challenges
- Accountability, boundaries, and healthy relationships
Experience with these populations is welcomed, but equally important is a genuine interest in learning, receiving feedback, and developing greater clinical depth.
Schedule and Work Setting
This position is based in our Staten Island office. The majority of our clients prefer in person therapy.
Applicants must be available for at least one weekday evening shift from 3:15 p.m.–9:15 p.m. Current evening availability may include Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, depending on office availability. Daytime shifts are also available.
Although some clients may be appropriate for telehealth, most of our clients request in-person therapy. This is not a fully remote or primarily telehealth position.
Clinical Supervision and Professional Development
Weekly group clinical supervision and consultation are integral parts of our practice.
We provide:
- Qualified clinical supervision for LMSWs working toward LCSW licensure
- Qualified supervision for licensed LMFTs pursuing the New York State Diagnostic Privilege
- Individual supervision for clinicians completing qualifying supervised experience
- Weekly group supervision and case consultation
- Guidance in clinical conceptualization, diagnosis, psychotherapy, and assessment-based treatment planning
- Support with clinical interventions and documentation
- Ongoing feedback focused on clinical effectiveness and professional growth
Qualifying supervision is provided by the practice at no cost to the clinician. Supervised experience must meet all applicable New York State Education Department requirements.
Professional Growth at MTS
For LMSWs, we are looking for clinicians who want to develop a meaningful, long-term professional future at MTS. LMSWs receive structured clinical supervision and support as they strengthen their clinical judgment, confidence, intervention skills, and professional identity.
Clinicians who demonstrate strong clinical ability, reliability, initiative, and investment in the practice may have opportunities to grow into expanded responsibilities, mentoring, or future leadership roles.
Licensed LMFTs pursuing the New York State Diagnostic Privilege may receive applicable supervision and clinical development while participating in the same collaborative team environment.
