Most postgraduate clinical roles offer no future. This comprehensive and intentional 4-year

fellowship is designed differently: a highly selective mentorship model built for ambitious

clinicians who intend to launch and sustain a thriving private practice. This fellowship is often

described as “burning the candle at both ends” to expedite your career by many years.

As a boutique, out-of-network private practice, Gateway to Solutions is consistently recognized among the top 10% of practices nationwide for client engagement, retention, and clinical excellence. Over this 4-year commitment, you will complete your supervised clinical hours to achieve full licensure while simultaneously building a full caseload. After completing the 4-year program, you retain your client panel and transition seamlessly into independent practice with an established caseload to take with you.

• Direct Clinical Mentorship & 4-Prong Supervision: Receive direct supervision from approved NYS clinical supervisor, provided by the Clinical Director and Assistant Clinical Director at Gateway to Solutions—now celebrating 26+ years of practice excellence. Supervision is structured across a comprehensive 4-Prong Approach:

• Individual Supervision: Dedicated one-on-one clinical case review and skill development.

• Group Supervision: Collaborative team case presentations, case conceptualization

discussions and clinical skill-sharing.

• Administrative Supervision: Focused guidance on practice management, compliance, risk

management, data driven and proven best practices, and clinical operations.

• Senior Peer Mentor Program: Pair directly with experienced senior clinicians for peer-level

guidance, onboarding support, and practical insight into private practice growth.

• Prime Lower Manhattan Location: Work out of a private office in the historic, landmarked,

Class A Trinity Building in the Financial District, NYC, very close to Brooklyn, Jersey City, and

Hoboken.·

Warm In-Office/In-Person Culture: Enjoy a collaborative in-office clinician culture supported along with an integrated Emotional Support Dog practice environment. Office snack culture, team outings and quarterly Friday massage therapy perks as well. Unlike most private practices, clinician isolation does not exist at GTS.

• Entrepreneurial & Business Mastery: Beyond clinical supervision, gain hands-on training across the 4 years in practice operations, media pitching, clinical writing/blogging, case presentations, and team building.

Compensation & Benefits

• Earning Potential: Fee-for-Service compensation. Building a full census in an out of network practice takes 6-12 months.

Who We Are Seeking

This fellowship is strictly selective, intended for disciplined, high-achieving self-starters who

embrace short-term rigor and team culture for long-term career autonomy. Someone able to

embrace the short-term benefits as well as the long-term goals at the same time.

Core Requirements

1) MSW and MHC from an accredited institution required; commutable NYC or NJ residency required; NYS licensure/permit required.

2) Must have private practice or a direct clinical therapy role at an agency or clinic during

graduate school placements and/or after graduate school.

innovative mindset, eager to take ownership of practice growth and creative problem-solving.

• Exceptional Organizational Skills: Must be highly organized, efficient, proactive, and prompt; procrastination is a non-starter.

• Mindset & Inquiry: Embraces Socratic and experiential learning, actively seeking the "how" and "why" with deep intentionality in everything we do.·

Driven & Self-Directed: A proactive problem solver with a strong desire to master both clinical practice and private practice management.

• Clinically Rigorous: Academic excellence, strong field placement performance, and outstanding letters of recommendation.

• Adaptable & Collaborative: Brings a positive, nimble mindset and works seamlessly with our

clinical team.

• Strong Communication: Excellent oral and written skills for clinical reflection papers, media

outreach, and team case conferences.

Preferred Qualifications (A+)

• Experience: 0–6 years of post-graduate experience in a private practice or direct clinical therapy role at an agency or clinic.

• Certifications/Trainings: Certification or training in CBT, DBT, ERP, Group Therapy, Gottman Method, Imago Relationship Therapy, EMDR, and Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP).
