Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Psychotherapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various therapeutic modalities and a strong desire to be trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. This role involves providing psychotherapy to clients, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs. The Psychotherapist will work with diverse populations, including children, families, and individuals facing various mental health issues.

Duties

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy using evidence-based and trauma-focused practices. EMDR training is strongly encouraged and supported.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs, including crisis intervention and behavior management strategies.
• Offer specialized counseling services in areas such as grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, and child & family counseling.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and case management.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to provide remote therapy sessions when necessary.
• Engage in clinical research and data collection to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Qualifications

• Completed Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Current valid licensure as a Psychotherapist or equivalent credential in the state of practice.
• Experience working with survivors of trauma and interest in pursuing continued training in trauma-informed practices strongly preferred
• Familiarity with ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for medical documentation is essential.
• Proficiency in crisis management techniques and direct support for patients in various settings (inpatient/outpatient).
• Knowledge of behavioral health concepts, including applied behavior analysis and behavioral therapy.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information.
