Launch To Wellness is a newly established addiction and mental health outpatient recovery program located in Woodland Hills, CA. Launch to Wellness is the only treatment center in the city of Los Angeles that is owned, founded, and run by licensed female clinicians who specialize in the field of addiction and recovery. It is a program of wellbeing and hope, grounded in restoring our clients’ foundations and ultimately, launching them into wellness and their brighter futures.

Launch To Wellness is seeking a Primary Therapist to join our team in Woodland Hills. The primary goal of the Clinician is to provide exceptional clinical treatment services including assessment, treatment planning, and therapy to clients and their families. The clinician participates as a member of the Treatment Team and provides a unique perspective in an effort to provide the best and most well-rounded care for each of our clients.
Schedule for this role is Monday - Friday 9AM- 4PM.
(Note: Tuesdays Only: 9AM- 4:30 PM)
The compensation range for the Primary Therapist role is $35- $40 hourly for Associates (AMFT) and Licensed Clinicians (LMFT) based upon experience.
The range provided is for California based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree is required.
- Clinicians must be licensed in the state of California.
- Active BBS associate number or licensure is required.
- Experience with addiction and co-occurring disorders is preferred.
- Experience with PHP/IOP, residential treatment, or closely related is preferred.
- Treatment planning and discharge planning skills is preferred.
- Previous experience with KIPU is preferred; computer literacy is required.
- Strong understanding of therapeutic process, laws and ethics, and confidentiality requirements.
- Must demonstrate tact, initiative, resourcefulness, professionalism, enthusiasm, and a non-judgmental attitude toward peers and clients.
- Additional skills preferred include CBT, DBT, family therapy, motivational interviewing, EMDR, and/or somatic therapy.
Primary Responsibilities
- Completing the Biopsychosocial assessment within one day of admission.
- Meeting with clients within twenty-four hours of admission to establish therapeutic rapport.
- Completing the Comprehensive Treatment Plan and Integrated Treatment Summary within three days of admission.
- Identifying weekly treatment goals and writing contracts specific to individual client needs.
- Writing and facilitating the Discharge Summary.
- Individual psychotherapy sessions, 2 times weekly for each client.
- Conjoint family psychotherapy sessions at least once per week or as needed.
- Interfacing with insurance companies, providing appropriate clinical information to obtain initial certification and continuing stay certification as required.
- Being appropriately accessible to family members.
- Assessing suicidality and the possibility of danger to self or others.
- Attending all treatment team meetings weekly, in-service trainings, and general staff meetings.
- Providing additional clinical support for other clinical team members’ clients in their absence.
- Exhibiting general psychotherapy and intervention skills (i.e. developing therapeutic alliance, effectively gathering data, exhibiting diagnostic-analytical skills, maintaining working alliance, engaging in appropriate crisis intervention, exhibiting case management skills).
- Displaying effective thoroughness and time management skills with clinical documentation.
- Possessing and exhibiting appropriate boundaries in clinical setting with clients.
- Remaining open to learning and receptive to any other duties as assigned.
