About the role

Jacob’s Ladder Therapies is seeking a seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pre-Licensed Clinician to join our dynamic group practice. As a Pre-Licensed Clinician, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable clinical experience while providing compassionate and evidence-based mental health services to a diverse client population. This position offers a supportive environment for professional growth and development under the supervision of licensed clinicians.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions with clients, utilizing evidence-based treatment approaches and interventions.
  • Collaborate with licensed clinician to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address clients' specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and any necessary documentation, in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines.
  • Participate in case conferences and team meetings to discuss client progress, treatment strategies, and ensure coordinated care within the group practice.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending workshops, seminars, and trainings, to enhance clinical skills and stay up to date with current research and best practices.
  • Adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards, demonstrating a strong commitment to client confidentiality, informed consent, and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other mental health professionals within the group practice and community, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors, to ensure holistic and integrated care for clients.
  • Foster a therapeutic alliance with clients, providing a supportive and nonjudgmental environment that promotes their growth and well-being.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the group practice by actively participating in marketing and networking efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current registration with state of California as an associate clinician and actively working towards licensure.
  • Willingness to work in-person and virtually and dedicate a minimum of 8 clinical hours/week.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, parents and families preferably utilizing DBT skills.
  • Knowledge of ethical guidelines and professional standards in the field of psychology.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish rapport with clients and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills to evaluate client needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and seek supervision and guidance as needed.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and staying informed about current research and evidence-based practices.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation.
