Job Overview

Grace Therapy, LLC is a growing private counseling practice in Nettleton, Mississippi, seeking a dedicated, compassionate and dependable Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (P-LPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our practice as a part-time independent contractor.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality therapeutic services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, in both outpatient and telehealth settings. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering positive change, utilizing evidence-based practices, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
  • Provide individual, group, child & youth therapy, family counseling, and crisis intervention services to clients across various age groups and backgrounds.
  • Utilize telehealth platforms effectively to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
  • Engage in case management activities including patient care coordination, treatment planning, progress monitoring, and medical documentation using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Offer specialized support for clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care needs, and chronic pain counseling.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, ensure confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines, and adhere to clinical ethical standards during all patient interactions.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques.
  • Strong proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention strategies, behavior management, and social work principles.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities—including autism and ADHD—and geriatrics; familiarity with special education settings is a plus.
  • Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
  • Skilled in conducting mental health assessments, diagnostic evaluations, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and trauma-focused therapy.
  • Ability to utilize research data collection methods to inform clinical practice and treatment outcomes.
  • Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care; experience working with individuals experiencing gender issues or other sensitive topics is desirable.
  • Familiarity with inpatient/outpatient experience environments as well as clinic experience; proficiency in telehealth therapy platforms is preferred.
