For almost 50 years, Still Creek Ranch has been taking children from crisis to new creation by providing a safe, Christ-centered home, a quality education, and opportunities for children to heal, grow, and thrive.

Our residential homes and on-campus school serve students in grades 7–12. Our teachers, houseparents, and residential staff are trained in Whole Child Initiative and trauma-informed care, creating a consistent environment focused on the needs of the whole child.

We are seeking an additional part-time female counselor to provide individual and group counseling services to our female residents.

Position Overview

The Part-Time Counselor will provide consistent, relationship-based counseling and emotional support to our female residents. We currently serve approximately 10 girls, with the potential to serve up to 18–20 female residents at full capacity.

Counseling frequency is based on each resident's individual needs and may include weekly, biweekly, or monthly sessions.

This position is limited to a maximum of 10–15 hours per week and offers flexibility in scheduling. Individual counseling is generally provided during the school day, with opportunities for group counseling during the summer and occasional weekend sessions or activities when applicable.

Pay: $30–$40 per hour, based on licensure, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to female residents based on their needs and treatment goals
• Facilitate group counseling sessions as needed
• Build healthy, trusting therapeutic relationships with adolescent girls
• Utilize trauma-informed practices when working with youth who may have experienced abuse, neglect, grief, family instability, or other adverse childhood experiences
• Maintain appropriate counseling documentation, treatment plans, and records
• Collaborate with residential leadership, houseparents, school staff, and other members of each resident's care team while maintaining appropriate clinical confidentiality
• Participate in case consultations and meetings as needed
• Recognize and appropriately respond to crisis situations, safety concerns, and mandatory reporting requirements

Qualifications

Candidates should possess the appropriate Texas license or credential to provide counseling services, such as LPC, LPC-Associate, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or another applicable credential.

Experience working with adolescents, trauma, residential care, foster care, child welfare, or at-risk youth is strongly preferred.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, organized, relational, and able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required background screening and child-safety requirements.

Hours: Up to 10–15 hours per week

Pay: $30–$40 per hour

Schedule: Flexible; primarily during school-day hours with occasional summer group sessions and weekend opportunities as applicable
