We are expanding our outpatient behavioral health services and are seeking compassionate, dependable, and clinically skilled therapists who are committed to helping individuals and families achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Outpatient Therapist with licensure as an LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, or LCMHCA to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive outpatient mental health services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. You will deliver evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy to promote healing and resilience. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and best practices.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining HIPAA compliance and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management techniques and crisis intervention strategies.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with medical records and medical terminology standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care coordination, and research initiatives related to mental health outcomes.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with clinical research, ICD coding updates, and advances in behavioral health practices.

Requirements

• Active licensure as an LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, or LCMHCA from an accredited licensing board.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or clinic settings.
• Strong skills in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy (TFT), grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management.
• Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), or chronic pain conditions is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Familiarity with telehealth therapy platforms and clinical documentation standards within EMR/EHR systems.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Ability to handle crisis situations effectively while demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
• Experience working with diverse populations across inpatient/outpatient settings is preferred; pediatrics and geriatrics experience is a plus.
• Previous NC Medicaid behavioral health experience.
• Current Medicaid or managed-care credentialing.
• Individual NPI.
• Experience with Person-Centered Planning.
