Job Summary

The Talk Shop is opening up in Las Cruces, New Mexico and we are seeking dedicated and compassionate licensed mental health professionals to join our team in New Mexico. The ideal candidate will hold licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW). This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality mental health services across diverse settings, including out patient, in office setting and telehealth platforms. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based therapies, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing individualized treatment plans to support clients of all ages. Your work will be instrumental in promoting mental wellness, resilience, and recovery within our community.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments utilizing clinical documentation standards and diagnostic evaluation tools, including ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding where applicable.
• Provide individual, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy and others.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability during urgent situations.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and best practices in mental health counseling.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with medical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate consistency of care efforts for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs.

Skills

• Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and trauma-focused therapy.
• Strong experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and geriatrics.
• Skilled in crisis intervention, behavior management, and patient assessment procedures.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Experience or willing to learn delivering telehealth therapy services utilizing HIPAA-compliant platforms.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health conditions and treatment modalities.
• Ability to manage clinical documentation standards effectively while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
