New Graduate Therapist (MSW / LCSW/ LMHC - Clinical Mental Health Counseling) Paid Supervision
Edwin Williford - TAP
About the role
You trained for this. You shouldn't have to figure it out alone.
Your MSW or master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling took real work — your first clinical job should meet that with real support. We're bringing on 2026 graduates for full-time, hybrid therapist roles at our Braintree, Massachusetts clinic, purpose-built for early-career clinicians working toward the Massachusetts LCSW/LICSW or LMHC pathway.
There's no sink-or-swim caseload waiting for you. You start with paid orientation, guided intakes, a dedicated mentor, and referrals that come to you — not the other way around.
The Role
- Deliver outpatient psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and a broad range of community members
- Split your week between 2 onsite days at our Braintree clinic and remote work the rest of the time
- Run new-client intakes, psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, progress notes, and sessions, always with support nearby
- Work toward a goal of 25+ completed sessions weekly, with flexibility to take on more
- Partner with supervisors, leadership, and fellow clinicians on ethical, trauma-informed, culturally attuned care
- Stay focused on clients while our internal teams handle referrals, scheduling, billing, and intake logistics
How We Ramp You Up
Launching a clinical career can feel overwhelming — we've built it to feel manageable, and every part of it is paid.
Orientation walks you through our clinical workflows, intake procedures, assessment methods, documentation, treatment planning, and the range of clients we serve, and you'll handle your first genuinely new intakes alongside an experienced clinician and clinical leadership.
We look at your internship background, clinical interests, language abilities, and goals when matching referrals, and you'll have coaching the entire time — nobody expects mastery on day one.
The Referrals Come to You
Because of our community partnerships, you won't be marketing yourself or hunting for your own clients. Depending on fit and clinical need, you might work with people connected through:
- Community-based nonprofits and local service agencies
- Schools and educational programs
- Court-mandated programs and justice-system partners
- Nursing homes, older-adult programs, and long-term-care settings
- Shelters, supportive housing, and community resource organizations
- The Department of Children and Families (DCF) and foster-care-connected services
- Hospitals and behavioral-health programs supporting clients after discharge or step-down care
- MassHealth, Medicare, Medicaid, and major commercial insurance plans
That mix gives new clinicians exposure across populations, life stages, and levels of clinical need.
Investing In Your License
Development doesn't stop once orientation ends.
- Paid weekly supervision with a dedicated licensed Clinical Supervisor
- Structured support for eligible clinicians working toward Massachusetts LCSW, LICSW, or LMHC licensure
- Direct, real-time access to clinical leadership for consultation and post-session debriefs
- A Peer Partner mentorship model starting your first day
- A paid, live one-hour clinical training session each week, built into your schedule
- Instruction spanning trauma-informed care, psychopharmacology, mental health law, diagnostic assessment, crisis response, culturally responsive treatment, documentation, and clinical interventions
- Free CEUs and ongoing professional-development access
- Paid malpractice insurance
- Coverage for eligible independent-licensure costs and renewal fees
Braintree, With Care
Braintree and the surrounding community bring a wide mix of backgrounds and life experiences, and we're committed to delivering care that's equitable and accessible to all of them. Clinicians from every background are welcome, and we especially value those bringing cultural humility and a genuine commitment to historically underserved populations.
Spanish, Haitian Creole, and Portuguese-speaking clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply — multilingual ability lowers barriers to care and makes treatment more accessible.

- 401(k) with company match
