Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals and families. This role involves working with diverse populations, including children, adults, and those with developmental disabilities, to support their mental health needs through various therapeutic modalities.

Duties

  • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic therapy.
  • Provide crisis intervention and management for clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Engage in child and family counseling, addressing issues related to behavior management, grief, trauma (including PTSD), and addiction.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care, including case management and direct support services.
  • Facilitate telehealth sessions as needed to accommodate client preferences and accessibility.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at improving therapeutic practices and outcomes.
  • Utilize art therapy, dance therapy, or other creative modalities as appropriate for client engagement.
  • Provide education on mental health topics to clients and their families, promoting awareness and understanding of behavioral health issues.

Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in psychotherapy, clinical counseling, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and behavioral therapy approaches.
  • Experience working with children, individuals with developmental disabilities, or those facing chronic pain challenges is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and patient care protocols is essential.
  • Previous hospital or clinic experience is preferred; experience in outpatient settings will also be considered.
  • Understanding of special education needs and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.
  • Strong skills in case management, social work principles, and group therapy facilitation are beneficial. We welcome applicants who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through effective therapeutic practices.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $75.00 per hour
