About Mainspring
Mainspring is a neighborhood mental health practice built around the simple idea that taking care of your mental health should feel like a normal part of taking care of yourself.
We provide evidence-based therapy in comfortable, welcoming spaces where genuine relationships and practical skills matter. Whether someone is working through something difficult or simply wants to live a little better, we’re here to help people feel better, think clearer, and live well.
As a group private practice, we believe clinicians should have room to build a practice that fits their strengths, interests, and lives. Our therapists have autonomy over their schedules and caseloads while having the administrative, billing, credentialing, and clinical support of an established practice behind them.
We take good clinical work seriously, but we also want Mainspring to be a place where people enjoy working. We value collaboration, trust our clinicians to be professionals, and believe having a life outside of work makes us better at the work we do.
Mainspring serves clients throughout Northern Kentucky from our offices in Covington and Florence, as well as through telehealth.
The Position
As a Mainspring therapist, you’ll provide individual outpatient therapy to clients with a variety of mental health needs. You’ll have the flexibility to develop a caseload around the populations, clinical interests, and availability that make sense for you.
Our clinicians use evidence-based approaches while developing their own clinical style and areas of expertise. Mainspring provides the office space and practice infrastructure so you can focus primarily on providing excellent care to your clients.
Responsibilities include
- Providing individual outpatient mental health therapy
- Completing assessments and developing individualized treatment plans
- Maintaining timely and accurate clinical documentation
- Using evidence based interventions appropriate to client needs
- Coordinating care with other providers when appropriate
- Maintaining professional and ethical standards
- Participating in consultation and collaboration with the Mainspring team
What We're Looking For
We’re looking for a clinician who values both independence and connection. Someone who can manage their own practice responsibilities while still wanting colleagues around them to collaborate, consult, and grow with.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a related behavioral health field
- Current Kentucky behavioral health license or eligibility for Kentucky licensure
- LPCC, LPCA, LCSW, CSW, LMFT, or other applicable Kentucky behavioral health credentials
- Commitment to evidence based, client centered care
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities
- Interest in continued professional and clinical growth
Both independently licensed clinicians and clinicians working toward independent licensure are encouraged to apply.
Why Florence?
Our Florence office is Mainspring’s newest location, giving you an opportunity to join the team as we establish and grow the practice in Boone County.
The office was designed to feel like Mainspring; comfortable, welcoming, professional, and a little less clinical than what people might expect from a mental health office. We want it to be a place where clients feel comfortable coming to therapy and clinicians feel good about coming to work.
If you’re looking for a private practice where you can build a caseload that fits your life, do meaningful clinical work, and still have a team around you, we’d love to meet you.
