Position Summary

Katie's Way is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our Manhattan, Kansas team.

This position will primarily focus on providing outpatient therapy services to children, adolescents, and their families. The ideal candidate is experienced in working with youth facing anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, trauma, ADHD, school-related concerns, family conflict, and other emotional or mental health needs.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to improving outcomes and supporting the overall well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including:
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Play Therapy
• Behavioral Interventions
• Trauma-Informed Care
• Family Systems Approaches
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, physicians, and other treatment providers when appropriate
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Participate in case consultations and multidisciplinary treatment planning
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments when necessary

Qualifications Required

• Active Kansas license as one of the following:
• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
• Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC)
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Clinical Psychologist
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field
• Experience providing therapy services to children and adolescents
• Strong clinical assessment and treatment planning skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

Preferred

• Experience working with children ages 5–17
• Play Therapy training or certification
• Experience treating ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral disorders, and school-related challenges
• Experience conducting family therapy
• Experience working within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting
• Credentialed with Medicaid, commercial insurance carriers, or TRICARE

Pay: $70,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
