Job Overview

Arise Behavioral Health is seeking a compassionate, reliable Mental Health Therapist with experience and training in treating adolescents with significant trauma histories to join our growing outpatient behavioral health practice in Southern Maryland.

The primary responsibility of this position is providing in-person psychotherapy to adolescents ages 14–17 residing at two residential youth facilities in Faulkner, Maryland. Candidates must be available to provide onsite services in Faulkner 1–2 days per week. Additional opportunities to provide telehealth services to other client populations may also be available.

We provide high-quality, trauma-informed care through a supportive, collaborative clinical environment. This role is ideal for clinicians who value autonomy, flexibility, and ethical, client-centered care without excessive micromanagement.

Compensation

• LMSW / LGPC: $70–$80 per completed session
• LCSW-C / LCPC: $80–$90 per completed session

(Fee-for-service / contractor positions available)

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and occasional family psychotherapy onsite to adolescents ages 14–17 residing at two residential youth facilities in Faulkner, MD
• Provide evidence-based, trauma-focused and trauma-informed psychotherapy appropriate for adolescents with complex trauma histories
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized, measurable treatment plans
• Maintain timely, accurate, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation in the EHR
• Collaborate with prescribers, residential staff, and other members of the care team when clinically appropriate
• Participate in occasional case consultations or team meetings as needed
• Additional telehealth opportunities with other client populations may be available based on clinician interest and practice needs

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program
• Active Maryland license as an LMSW, LGPC, LCSW-C, or LCPC
• Demonstrated experience providing psychotherapy to adolescents with significant trauma histories
• Training and clinical competence in trauma-informed and trauma-focused treatment approaches
• Ability to provide in-person services at two Faulkner, MD residential facilities 1–2 days per week
• Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and ethical practice
• Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records
• Ability to manage a caseload independently while meeting documentation standards

Preferred (but not required)

• Formal training in evidence-based trauma treatment modalities used with adolescents
• Experience working in residential treatment, group homes, or other youth-serving settings
• Experience working with adults and older adults
• Familiarity with Medicaid populations
• Experience in outpatient behavioral health or community mental health settings

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Work Location: Hybrid – required onsite services in Faulkner, MD 1–2 days per week, with additional telehealth opportunities.

Pay: $84,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
