Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide mental health counseling and support to individuals dealing with various issues, including anxiety, depression and relationship challenges. Utilizing expertise in therapy techniques, the Mental Health Therapist will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating clients using a holistic approach. Candidate should have understanding of cultural differences and be open to working with diverse populations. Must be a resident of Virginia.

Duties:

  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions
  • Utilize knowledge of ICD-9 codes for accurate diagnosis and billing purposes
  • Offer telehealth services to reach clients remotely
  • Incorporate cultural sensitivity into treatment strategies for enhanced therapeutic outcomes
  • Maintain detailed and confidential medical records in compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
  • Provide direct support and guidance to clients in need

Experience:

  • Proven experience in mental health counseling and behavioral health interventions
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices
  • Proficiency in utilizing telehealth platforms for remote therapy sessions
  • Knowledge of trauma informed care as an additional therapeutic modality
  • Experience in direct support roles within a healthcare setting

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Clinical Social work or related field (required)
  • Licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) ( Not required)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy towards clients
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Previous experience working with diverse populations
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches
  • Knowledge of evidence-based therapy modalities
