Mental Health Counselor-Therapist Part Time Outpatient Overview

The Mental Health Counselor-Therapist Outpatient Part Time plays an important role in helping children, adolescents, and families build on their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve their goals. Using a compassionate, trauma-informed approach, the Therapist provides assessment, treatment planning, counseling, and supportive interventions that promote emotional well-being, healthy relationships, family stability, and long-term success.

Working as part of a collaborative team, the Mental Health Counselor-Therapist Outpatient Part Time partners with clients, families, case managers, schools, healthcare providers, and community organizations to ensure each child and family receives coordinated, individualized support. As a Mental Health Counselor-Therapist Outpatient Part-Time, you will provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health services to children, adolescents, and families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Complete diagnostic assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide individual, family, and group therapy.
• Manage caseload, documentation, and quality treatment expectations while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive, person-centered care and incorporate Zero Suicide principles into clinical practice.

Work Schedule

• Schedule based on client and program needs
• Evening /Weekend hours could be utilized as desired to accommodate client and family availability
• Travel between office, community, school, and home for services if desired

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related behavioral health field. Bachelors degree in Social Work, LSW with appropriate experience will be considered.
• Current Ohio licensure required (LSW, LISW, LPC, LPCC, or other approved independent or dependent behavioral health license).
• Minimum of six (6) months of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
• Ability to meet agency credentialing and payer enrollment requirements.
• Successful completion of required background checks.
