Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our behavioral health team. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based mental health services to diverse client populations, including children and youth. This role involves conducting mental health assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering trauma-focused and client-centered therapy. The counselor will be responsible for maintaining thorough clinical documentation and ensuring effective communication with clients throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s goals.
• Provide trauma-focused therapy and child & youth therapy to support clients through various mental health challenges.
• Engage in ongoing client communication to monitor progress, adjust treatment strategies, and foster a supportive therapeutic environment.
• Deliver behavioral health interventions aligned with best practices and clinical guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation of sessions, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Stay informed about current research and advancements in mental health treatment modalities.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with clients of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to perform thorough mental health assessments and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Experience with trauma-focused therapy and working with children & youth is preferred.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic health record systems.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong ethical standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
• Flexibility to adapt interventions based on individual client needs.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
