Mental Health Counselor (LCSW, LPC, LSW, LAC, LAMFT)

Position Overview

The ideal candidate is an empathetic, skilled clinician who is comfortable providing evidence-based individual, family, and/or group therapy. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, PMHNPs, social workers, licensed counselors, and administrative staff—to ensure clients receive coordinated, comprehensive care. Services are offered both in-person and via telehealth. Clinicians who work remotely must have appropriate devices and a private workspace.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using standardized tools, interviews, history gathering, and collateral information to diagnose and develop treatment plans.
• Provide individual therapy, family sessions, group counseling, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention as clinically indicated.
• Deliver ongoing treatment and monitor progress over time, adjusting interventions and updating treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in accordance with federal, state, and facility standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, case managers, and other providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate with families, referral sources, and community supports when appropriate.
• Attend team meetings, case consultations, trainings, and staff development sessions.
• Utilize office technology, EHR systems, and telehealth platforms to deliver high-quality care.
• Perform other clinically related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Required: Active New Jersey license - LCSW, LPC, LSW, LAC, or LAMFT
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy
• Preferred: 1–2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or related setting
• Required: U.S. work authorization
• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Hindi, or other languages)
