ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Carolyn E Wylie Center has an array of services aimed at supporting our community's needs. Of the services, our Mental Health Program specializes in the following:

-General Mental Health for ages 0-21

-Eating disorder treatment for all ages

-Trauma treatment for ages 0-21

-0-5 treatment for ages five (5) and under

-Affirming and Inclusive Care for our LGBTQIA2S+ community

As an associate clinician, responsibilities and tasks are, but not limited to the following:

• Provide biopsychosocial assessment, individual, family, collateral and/or group psychotherapy

• In order to overcome barriers of equity, services are conducted in-office/clinic, in the home, schools, or community

• Completes case management duties and documentation in a timely manner per established agency policies.

• Completes confidential progress notes, using an electronic health record system, and other clinical documentation as required.

• Protects confidentiality of all clients by securing proper signatures on Release of Information forms. Ensure Protected Health Information is secured at all times.

• Composes letters or reports on client progress as requested and appropriate

• Provides crisis therapy for ongoing clients.

• Represents the agency within the community in a professional manner.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Carries a caseload in keeping with work schedule and meets productivity goals on a regular basis.

• Attend meetings and trainings as required.

Training Opportunities

Training for EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is fully supported, as well as in-house foundational consultation and EMDRIA-approved certification hours. (other criteria may apply).

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling Psychology or Marriage and Family Therapy and have a current registration and/or license with the Board of Behavioral Science. Must have NPI. Ability to analyze and assess children and adult’s mental health status as well as family dynamics. Must complete a comprehensive treatment plan and make appropriate recommendations for services. Experience with adults, children and families in crisis and behavioral concerns. Must have ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read / write in Spanish, sign-language, or several other languages besides English are highly desirable. The ability to read and interpret documents such as outside clinical reports and to administer psychological assessment tools, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with individuals.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
