Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health, relational dynamics, and emotional well-being
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clients’ goals and needs
- Facilitate individual, couples, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care when necessary
- Educate clients on coping strategies, stress management, and healthy relationship practices
- Stay current with the latest mental health research, therapeutic techniques, and ethical standards
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Valid licensure or certification as a Marriage and Family Therapist (e.g., LMFT) in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience providing therapy to diverse client populations in clinical settings
- Strong understanding of mental health disorders, relational dynamics, and therapeutic interventions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes
Preferred qualifications include experience in crisis intervention, familiarity with health education principles, knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health, and proficiency in managing patient service workflows.
