Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive counseling services to diverse client populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Duties

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards.
• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and patient care protocols.
• Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Deliver crisis intervention and crisis management services to clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or trauma-related issues.
• Facilitate specialized therapies including grief counseling, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and trauma-focused therapy for clients with co-occurring disorders.
• Maintain accurate medical records and clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, medical documentation, and treatment planning for optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize EMR/EHR systems for data collection, patient assessment documentation, and telehealth therapy sessions.
• Engage in ongoing clinical research and professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling and behavioral health interventions.

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, child & family counseling, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Strong background working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics.
• Expertise in behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, substance abuse treatment (addiction counseling), and psychopharmacology knowledge preferred.
• Familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health care.
• Experience working with telehealth platforms and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems to deliver remote patient care effectively.
• Ability to manage complex cases involving co-occurring disorders while adhering to clinical documentation standards.
• Excellent client communication skills paired with strong case management capabilities for outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Knowledge of HIPAA compliance requirements and clinical ethical guidelines ensuring confidentiality and professional integrity in all interactions.

Pay: $26.06 - $31.38 per hour
