Overview

Join our dynamic behavioral health team as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC-A), where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental health and behavioral care to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, adolescents, and adults, providing comprehensive assessments, individual and group therapy, and crisis intervention. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough client intake assessments, including diagnostic evaluations and patient history reviews, ensuring accurate understanding of mental health conditions.
  • Deliver individual and group psychotherapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
  • Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis management and crisis intervention techniques, ensuring client safety and stabilization.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement tailored treatment plans that address complex behavioral health needs.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR) systems while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Participate in clinical supervision sessions to enhance skills in clinical counseling, diagnostic evaluation, and case management.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current on best practices for working with individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, co-occurring disorders, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and substance use disorders.

Qualifications

  • Active licensure or licensure eligibility as a Licensed Professional Counselor - Associate (LPC-A) or equivalent in the relevant state.
  • Demonstrated experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with mental health conditions, developmental disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Proficiency in therapeutic techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-informed care including PTSD care.
  • Strong skills in crisis management, crisis intervention, and patient assessment within clinical or community settings.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR management).
  • Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds and individuals from various socioeconomic environments.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a clinical team while demonstrating supervisory skills when applicable.
  • Excellent communication skills for client engagement, family collaboration, and interdisciplinary teamwork.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient records.
