LMSW / LCSW Social Workers (Chemical Dependency Experience)

Job Description

New Horizon Counseling Center, a thriving behavioral health agency, is seeking licensed Social Workers with Chemical Dependency experience for its outpatient clinic in Valley Stream. Full-time social worker positions are available.

We are seeking both LMSW (Licensed Master Social Workers) and LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Workers) with experience providing clinical and substance abuse services to adolescents and adults. Must possess a strong clinical base and Chemical Dependency experience. Individuals must have excellent clinical, communication, documentation and organizational skills.

Responsibilities include

• Completing screening and intake assessments.
• Conducting individual, family and group psychotherapy (as needed) that is focused and goal oriented as clinically determined.
• Development of treatment plans.
• Crisis intervention.
• Formulating discharge plans.

Bilingual (Spanish) is a PLUS

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
