LMSW / CASAC Counselor- Outpatient Substance Use Counselor

New Directions is an Outpatient Substance Use Center located in Park Slope, Brooklyn that is known for providing the highest quality of care while treating each and every patient with the kindness and respect they deserve.

We are currently seeking multiple CASAC's and/or LMHC/LMSW/LCSW's to provide individual and group therapy both in person and through telehealth to an ethnically and culturally diverse population of adolescents and adults that have a current diagnosis of substance or alcohol use. These candidates must have a minimum of 2/3 years' experience post degree and have experience working with this population, including, but not limited to:

• ACS
• Adolescents and Young Adults
• Family Members of those affected

These individuals shall maintain clinical records in accordance with New York State Office of Alcohol and Substance Use Services including standards and complete all necessary documentation required. The Center utilizes an EMR for all recordkeeping.

Weekly Supervision and Group Case Conference is provided.

Qualifications and Skills

• CASAC (preferred)
• Licensure required - Valid NYS LMSW/LCSW (not required if CASAC is obtained)
• Experience working in an environment that provides Individual/Group Therapy
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues
