Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health counseling services to individuals facing various challenges, including chronic pain, behavioral issues, and disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. The LMHC will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in achieving their therapeutic goals while fostering a supportive and healing environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide direct mental health counseling and therapy to clients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Implement behavior management strategies tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and research data collection as required.
• Offer Christian counseling as needed, integrating faith-based principles into therapeutic practices.
• Support clients with disabilities by providing direct support and advocacy in their treatment journey.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health counseling.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Valid LMHC licensure in the state of practice.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
• Experience working with individuals with chronic pain and disabilities is preferred.
• Proficiency in behavior management techniques and mental health counseling methodologies.
• Ability to conduct research data collection effectively for program evaluation purposes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
• Commitment to ethical practice and continuous professional growth.
