You Can Do It PLLC (YCDI) is seeking a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) actively licensed in New York State to join our growing behavioral health practice as a 1099 independent contractor.

This opportunity is ideal for an independently licensed clinician looking for flexibility and autonomy while building a caseload that fits their professional interests and availability. Clinicians may work fully remotely or in a hybrid capacityand have the flexibility to establish their own availability.

In addition to providing outpatient psychotherapy, clinicians who are interested in expanding their clinical expertise may have opportunities to receive training and gain experience in specialized psychological and diagnostic assessment services.

Compensation

Compensation ranges from $70–$80 per completed session, depending on experience, specialty skills, and professional background.

This is a 1099 independent contractor position.

Clinicians who develop competency in specialty assessment services may also have opportunities to provide evaluations and assessments, with additional compensation based on the type and scope of the service provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality outpatient psychotherapy services
• Conduct clinical intake assessments and develop treatment plans
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation
• Manage a caseload consistent with your selected availability
• Communicate professionally with clients and practice staff
• Collaborate with other clinicians and healthcare professionals when clinically appropriate
• Maintain all applicable professional, ethical, and New York State licensure requirements

Qualifications

• Active New York State LMHC license required
• Strong clinical interviewing and therapeutic skills
• Experience treating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, life transitions, and other behavioral health needs
• Ability to work independently and manage clinical responsibilities reliably
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Comfortable providing telehealth services
• Interest in assessment and evaluation services is welcomed but not required

Optional Specialty Assessment Training

For clinicians interested in expanding their skills beyond traditional psychotherapy, opportunities may be available to receive training and gain experience in areas such as:

• Cognitive and IQ assessment
• ADHD assessment and evaluation
• Autism assessment and evaluation, depending on clinician interest, qualifications, and applicable training requirements
• Clinical interviewing and diagnostic formulation
• Psychological test administration and scoring
• Assessment interpretation
• Clinical report writing
• Pre-surgical psychological assessments
• Collaboration with medical and other healthcare providers

Participation in specialty assessment training is completely optional and is not required for the therapy position.
