Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Trainee LMFT (tLMFT) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive therapeutic services to individuals, families, and couples, focusing on fostering positive change and emotional well-being. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex mental health challenges, utilizing evidence-based practices and a client-centered approach. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough intake assessments and clinical evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans
- Deliver individual, group, family, and couples therapy sessions using evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, and family therapy
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and facilitate behavioral change
- Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols
- Document all clinical encounters accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards; maintain detailed medical records and progress notes
- Collect data for ongoing case management, clinical research, and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, healthcare providers, educators, and community agencies to coordinate care and support client success
Skills
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
- Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and trauma-informed care such as PTSD care
- Skilled in crisis intervention, crisis management, and behavioral health strategies within hospital or community settings
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards
- Experience working with diverse populations using telehealth platforms; comfortable with clinical research methods and data collection processes
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, and family or couples counseling sessions

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25.0 – 30.0 per week
