About the role
About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated LMFT or AMFT to join our growing behavioral health team.
Our outpatient program provides treatment for individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders. We are looking for a therapist who is comfortable working with a diverse clinical population and collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LMFT or an AMFT looking to continue developing their clinical skills in the behavioral health and addiction treatment field.
Responsibilities
- Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions
- Complete biopsychosocial and clinical assessments
- Develop and update individualized treatment plans
- Provide evidence-based interventions for mental health, SUD, and co-occurring disorders
- Facilitate process groups and psychoeducational groups
- Complete progress notes and other required clinical documentation in a timely manner
- Participate in treatment team and clinical meetings
- Coordinate with case management, medical, psychiatric, and other members of the treatment team
- Assist with discharge and aftercare planning
- Maintain appropriate professional and ethical boundaries
- Follow applicable licensing, documentation, confidentiality, and program requirements
Qualifications
Required
- Active California LMFT license OR current AMFT registration
- Master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or related qualifying field
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to client care
Preferred
- Previous experience in substance use disorder treatment
- Experience working with clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders
- Experience in PHP, IOP, outpatient, residential, or detox settings
- Familiarity with behavioral health EMR systems
- Experience facilitating clinical and psychoeducational groups
- Knowledge of evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, and relapse-prevention interventions

Pay: $71,820.86 - $86,493.94 per year
