Position Summary

Safe Psychology & Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate and motivated LLPC to provide person-centered, culturally responsive, and evidence-based outpatient mental-health services. The clinician will support clients through assessment, treatment planning, psychotherapy, progress monitoring, and coordinated care. Approved counseling supervision and structured support are available to help the clinician advance toward full LPC licensure.

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, couples, or group therapy within the clinician's training and scope of practice.
• Complete biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic documentation, and individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and clinically appropriate progress notes and related records.
• Monitor treatment progress and revise goals and interventions as clinically indicated.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and appropriate crisis-response procedures.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, professional development, and staff meetings.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers, schools, families, and community resources when authorized and clinically appropriate.
• Maintain professional boundaries and comply with ethical, legal, licensing, privacy, and agency standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling or a related behavioral-health field.
• Current Michigan LLPC license in good standing.
• Professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage.
• Ability to complete required background and credentialing processes.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and person-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Outpatient mental-health, internship, practicum, or related clinical experience.
• Familiarity with CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, grief counseling, trauma-informed care, or person-centered therapy.
• Interest in serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, or older adults.
• Interest in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, substance use, caregiver stress, or life transitions.
• Availability to build and maintain a consistent caseload; evening or weekend availability is a plus.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
