Position Overview

TG Counseling & Consulting Services is seeking a motivated and culturally responsive therapist to join our group practice as an independent contractor. Our mission is to provide high-quality, culturally responsive mental health services that meet the evolving needs of our diverse community. This opportunity is best suited for clinicians who are able to maintain a minimum caseload of 15 client sessions per week.

We offer both part-time and full-time opportunities, with caseload expectations discussed and agreed upon during onboarding.

We are especially interested in clinicians with experience working with BIPOC clients and other marginalized or underserved populations. Applicants with relevant lived experience, in addition to their clinical training, are welcome and encouraged to apply.

This position begins as an independent contractor role, with the potential to transition to a W-2 position in the future if it is a good fit for both the clinician and the practice. The role is primarily remote, with the option for hybrid work if the clinician is interested and office space is available.

Compensation & Availability

• Compensation ranges from $40–$60 per client session, based on licensure level and experience.
• Evening availability for at least one to two evenings per week is preferred to help meet client demand.

Scope of Services

• Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy within your areas of competence.
• Develop and implement treatment plans based on each client's clinical needs.
• Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with ethical, legal, and payer requirements.
• Use evidence-based treatment approaches and provide culturally responsive care.
• Maintain professional communication with clients and practice administration to support coordination of care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Active New Jersey license (LAC, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent).
• Experience providing therapy to diverse, marginalized, or underserved populations is preferred.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based treatment approaches.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to provide services independently within the scope of your license.
• Provisionally licensed clinicians must practice under supervision in accordance with New Jersey licensing requirements. Supervision may be available, subject to supervisor availability.
• Professional liability insurance with minimum coverage of $1,000,000/$3,000,000.
• Previous experience in a private practice or outpatient setting is preferred but not required.
• Spanish/English bilingual clinicians are strongly preferred. Bilingual clinicians who speak other languages are also encouraged to apply.
