About the role

Licensed Therapist — Adult & Child/Adolescent Care

Billings Advanced Psychiatry, PLLC — Billings, Montana

About Us

Billings Advanced Psychiatry, PLLC is a physician-owned outpatient psychiatry practice led by Dr. Svetlana Yakov, MD, PhD, a board-certified psychiatrist specializing in treatment-resistant and interventional psychiatry. In addition to comprehensive psychiatric care, we operate a REMS-certified esketamine (Spravato) clinic and are an active clinical research site advancing novel, rapid-acting treatments for mental health conditions.

We are a collaborative, mission-driven team committed to bringing leading-edge, evidence-based care to patients across Montana — including populations that have historically had limited access to advanced psychiatric treatment.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Licensed Therapist to provide psychotherapy to adults and children/adolescents. There is an opportunity to participate in clinical research of novel therapeutic agents and facilitate treatments when those medications will be approved by FDA for different psychiatric illnesses.

What You'll Do

  • Provide individual psychotherapy to adult and child/adolescent patients
  • Conduct intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and treatment planning
  • Collaborate closely with the prescribing psychiatrist and care team on coordinated, measurement-based care
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in the EHR

What We're Looking For

  • Active, independent Montana license as an LCSW, LCPC in good standing
  • Clinical experience and comfort working with both adult and pediatric/adolescent populations
  • Strong diagnostic, documentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Interest in interventional psychiatry and clinical research

Preferred

  • Prior experience with measurement-based care and validated rating scales (e.g., MADRS, PHQ-9, GAD-7)
  • Existing GCP / human-subjects research certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience or training in therapy assisted or interventional therapy modalities
  • Familiarity with treatment-resistant depression and rapid-acting interventions

What We Offer

  • A rare blend of meaningful clinical work and frontline clinical research experience
  • Mentorship from a research-active, board-certified psychiatrist and Principal Investigator
  • Supportive, collegial team and a modern, well-equipped clinical environment
  • Paid protocol and GCP training to support your growth into the research role
  • Competitive compensation: percentage-of-collections for clinical work (full billing and administrative support provided); clinical-trial facilitation compensated separately per study protocol.
