Renton Counseling Center is hiring licensed therapists and LMHCA associates for our in-person practice in Renton, Washington — an easy drive from Kent, Tukwila, Auburn, Federal Way, Burien, and SeaTac. We are looking for people who want to build a career here, not pass through.

Who we can hire

• Fully licensed clinicians: LMHC, LMFT, or LICSW.
• Associates: LMHCA only. Our founder is an LMHC, so we are able to provide approved supervision for LMHCA candidates only. We cannot supervise SWAIC, LSWAIC, or LMFTA candidates at this time, and we ask that those candidates not apply.
• Licensure in transition: if your supervised hours are complete and your LMHC application is pending, we cannot start you until the license is issued — we credential with insurance panels under your active license. Please still apply. Tell us your expected issue date and we will hold your file and follow up when it comes through.

Practice Method 14 — therapy that measures whether it is working

We are not a traditional private practice. Our clinical culture is built on Method 14, the outcome-informed framework developed by our founder, Vera Dragonchuk, MA, LMHC. Method 14 integrates ongoing client feedback, validated outcome measures, and clinical expertise so you can see, session by session, whether therapy is working and adjust when it is not.

If you have ever ended a session wondering whether you actually helped, Method 14 answers that question with data. For an associate it matters even more: you will finish your supervised hours with a measurable record of your own clinical outcomes, not just a log of sessions.

Why in-person matters here

Our referrals overwhelmingly ask for in-person care, and roughly two-thirds of our sessions happen in the office. That is where the demand is, and it is what lets a clinician fill a caseload quickly. We offer telehealth flexibility once a caseload is established, but this role starts on-site, and applicants who can only work virtually will not be able to build a full schedule with us.

Compensation — told straight

We pay a percentage of collections on your sessions, plus $25 per hour for administrative time. Billable sessions make up at least 70 percent of your scheduled hours. Every figure below is written into your offer letter — no mystery formulas, and nothing you have to ask for.

• Fully licensed (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW): 50% of collections. At a full caseload of 25 to 30 clients per week, approximately $90,000 to $108,000 per year. In 2025 our highest-producing clinician earned $102,028.
• LMHCA associate, months 1 to 6: 35% of collections — approximately $65,000 per year at a full caseload.
• LMHCA associate, month 7 onward once holding 22 or more sessions per week: 40% — approximately $73,000 per year.
• LMHCA associate, upon full licensure: 50%, the same rate as every licensed clinician here — approximately $87,000 and above. Each increase is automatic and written into your offer letter.

Associates also receive free weekly clinical supervision toward licensure — a benefit worth $500 to $600 per month on the open market, and the reason the associate rate starts below the licensed rate.

Pay: $47,000.00 - $102,000.00 per year
