Duties

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9, ICD-10 coding standards, and medical terminology to determine client needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth counseling sessions addressing a wide range of issues including PTSD, grief, addiction, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, gender issues, and chronic pain management.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
• Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support clients experiencing acute mental health episodes or co-occurring disorders.
• Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health records (EHR/EMR), adhering to clinical documentation standards and treatment planning protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management efforts to ensure comprehensive patient care and coordinate services for individuals with complex needs.

Skills

• Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments using ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) and medical terminology; familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes.
• Strong skills in crisis intervention, crisis management, behavior management, and social work principles to support clients during critical moments.
• Ability to work effectively with children & families, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, geriatrics, and those with co-occurring disorders or substance use issues.
• Experience delivering telehealth therapy services while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical ethical guidelines.
• Knowledge of medical records management and clinical documentation standards; experience working within EMR/EHR systems.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams; sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and client needs.
