Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LPC) – Contract/1099

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LMHC, LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team on a contract/1099 basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality clinical counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, trauma, behavioral issues, and co-occurring disorders through evidence-based practices and compassionate care. This position offers flexibility to work remotely via telehealth or in outpatient settings, empowering you to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives while maintaining autonomy over your schedule.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards.
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions tailored to client needs, including specialized approaches like art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver secure virtual counseling sessions in compliance with HIPAA and clinical documentation standards.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention techniques and crisis management protocols.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously within Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR), ensuring accuracy in medical records and adherence to clinical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, treatment planning, and coordination of care for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder or chronic pain.

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy across diverse populations with a focus on child & family counseling, pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques and social work principles to foster client engagement and motivation.
• Expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-focused therapy (including PTSD care), grief counseling, addiction counseling, and gender issues counseling.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems for clinical documentation and data collection purposes.
• Ability to perform mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using medical terminology aligned with clinical ethical guidelines.
• Skilled in providing outpatient or inpatient care with experience in hospital settings preferred; familiarity with special education or pediatric clinics is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical records management related to mental health treatment and CPT coding for billing purposes.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or co-occurring disorders effectively.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per day
