Build Your Practice Without Doing It Alone
If you love being a therapist but do not love everything involved in building a private practice from scratch, Bayou Wellness may be a great fit.
We are an established group private practice seeking fully licensed therapists who want to provide in-person care in a warm, professional environment. You will have the freedom and autonomy of private practice along with the referrals, credentialing, training, support, and infrastructure needed to build and maintain your caseload.
Our beautiful, spacious two-story office building offers each therapist a private office with no office rent or utility expenses. You will furnish and personalize your office so it feels like your own. The building also includes a furnished lobby, kitchen, bathrooms, and conference room.
You choose your schedule, caseload size, and the populations you enjoy serving.
What You’ll Do
- Provide in-person individual, couples, and/or family therapy within your areas of competence
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and establish diagnoses and treatment plans
- Provide individualized therapy and monitor client progress
- Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Manage your caseload, including responding to referrals, scheduling clients, verifying benefits, submitting electronic claims, and addressing claim issues when necessary
You do not need to arrive knowing every aspect of insurance billing. We provide hands-on training and ongoing support with benefits verification, claims, EOBs, and denials.

Qualifications
- Active Florida LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT license
- Previous psychotherapy experience in a mental health setting
- Ability to provide services in person at our Pensacola office
- Competence in clinical documentation, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Knowledge of counseling theories, evidence-based interventions, and DSM-5 diagnostic principles
- Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, organization, and follow-through
- Ability to manage a caseload independently while participating in a collaborative practice
- Minimum one-year commitment to Bayou Wellness
Compensation & Schedule
- This is a 1099 independent contractor position with estimated annual earnings of $26,880–$84,000, based on 8–25 completed sessions per week for approximately 48 working weeks per year.
- Compensation is a percentage of collected session revenue and varies by insurance reimbursement rate. Therapist earnings currently average approximately $70 per completed session.
- Therapists set their own working hours and agree upon a weekly caseload expectation when joining the practice.
- This position requires a minimum one-year commitment to Bayou Wellness.
