Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled in person Therapists to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality mental health services to individuals, families, and groups. This role requires expertise in various therapeutic modalities and a commitment to fostering a supportive environment for clients facing diverse challenges. The Therapist will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.

Duties

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and management for clients in acute distress or experiencing crises.
• Engage in motivational interviewing and behavioral therapy to support clients in achieving their goals.
• Facilitate child and family counseling sessions, addressing the unique needs of children and their families.

Requirements

• 1. Education & Licensure Requirements
• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy (or a closely related field).
• Must hold an Indiana license (or be under appropriate supervision while working toward licensure):
• LMHC – Licensed Mental Health Counselor
• LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker
• LMFT – Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
• LCAC – Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor
• Therapists working toward full licensure may provide services under the direct supervision of a fully licensed clinician.

2. Experience & Training

• At least two years of clinical experience with children, adolescents, and families is preferred.
• Must be trained in evidence-based practices relevant to child welfare (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Informed Care).
• Ability to assess, diagnose (using DSM-5), and provide individualized treatment planning.
• Knowledge of child development, family systems, crisis intervention, and cultural competency.

• Service Delivery Expectations

• Provide therapy services in the home, school, or community, not just in an office setting.
• Deliver individual and family therapy that addresses DCS treatment goals (e.g., trauma, behavioral issues, parenting support, family reunification).
• Coordinate with the FCM (Family Case Manager), courts, schools, and other providers.
• Maintain flexible scheduling, often including evenings/weekends to meet family needs.

• Documentation & Compliance

• Complete intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in line with DCS timelines.
• Submit monthly progress reports in KidTraks.
• Adhere to confidentiality requirements under HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 (if substance use is involved).
• Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) Meetings as requested.

• Additional Requirements

• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to family homes.
• Providers must carry appropriate liability insurance as required by DCS.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
