Licensed Therapist — Contract Position

Positive Start Counseling Services, Inc is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and dedicated Licensed Therapist to join our team as an independent contracted clinician. Position Overview

The Licensed Therapist will provide professional mental health counseling services to clients experiencing a variety of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. The therapist will maintain a high standard of ethical and clinical practice while developing individualized treatment plans and supporting clients in achieving their goals.

Position Type: Independent Contractor

Schedule: Flexible; based on clinician availability and client needs

Work Setting: [In-person / Telehealth / Hybrid]

Location: Royal Palm Beach, Florida

Responsibilities

Provide individual, couples, family, and/or group therapy based on clinical experience and scope of practice.

Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.

Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.

Monitor client progress and modify treatment approaches when clinically appropriate.

Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Collaborate with clients and other professionals involved in their care when appropriate and authorized.

Participate in consultation and case coordination as needed.

Maintain all required professional licensure, certifications, and continuing education.

Provide services in accordance with Positive Start Counseling Services' clinical policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications

Current, active state licensure as a mental health professional appropriate to the services provided (e.g., LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent).

Experience providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, or groups.

Strong clinical, communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a clinical team.

Professional liability/malpractice insurance as required.

Reliable access to a computer, secure internet connection, and appropriate technology for telehealth services, if applicable.

Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and client-centered care.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with a diverse range of presenting concerns and populations.

Experience providing telehealth services.

Specialized training or experience in areas such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, family counseling, grief, life transitions, or other behavioral health concerns.

Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are a plus.
