Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Licensed Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and Child Protective Services (CPS) Contract Clinician to join our dynamic behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and addiction counseling services, focusing on individuals with co-occurring disorders, including substance use and trauma-related issues. Your expertise will support clients through evidence-based therapies, crisis intervention, and case management, ensuring they receive compassionate, culturally sensitive care in diverse settings such as clinics, homes, and community environments. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough client assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as DSM-5 criteria and ICD coding to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Provide crisis intervention and crisis management to stabilize clients experiencing acute mental health or substance use crises.
• Facilitate intake evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing progress documentation adhering to clinical documentation standards and medical terminology requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, case management activities, and community resources for clients with complex needs.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using EMR/EHR systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to addiction medicine, PTSD care, co-occurring disorders, and research-driven practices to enhance clinical effectiveness.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or equivalent licensure in your state; certification as a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) counselor is required.
• Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, trauma, and family dynamics.
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical documentation standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, behavioral health interventions, and crisis management techniques.
• Experience working within home & community care settings as well as hospital environments is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations from various cultural backgrounds while maintaining cultural competence.
• Familiarity with electronic health records systems (EHR), medical terminology, and clinical documentation protocols.
• Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient assessment, intake procedures, treatment planning, and progress reporting.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
